Terms of Service

Wealthwise Kenya is a personal finance assistant for users in Kenya. It provides an AI mentor, goal tracker, portfolio tools, educational content, expert bookings, and gamification features. The service is provided to you on the terms set out below.

Wealthwise Kenya provides financial education and general guidance only. We are not a licensed investment adviser, broker, tax adviser, or insurance agent. For regulated advice, consult a CMA-certified advisor or another appropriate professional. Decisions you make based on information in the app are your own responsibility.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the app.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
• Information you provide (income range, goals, transactions, portfolio holdings, etc.) should be accurate. The quality of the AI guidance depends on it.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access other users' data, manipulate gamification (XP, streaks, leaderboards), or interfere with the service.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service without our written permission.
• Submit content that is abusive, defamatory, or violates anyone else's rights.

• Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor (Paystack). Pricing in the app is shown in Kenyan shillings unless stated otherwise.
• You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and previously paid amounts are non-refundable except where required by law.
• If a payment fails, your plan may be downgraded to the free tier until billing is restored.

The AI mentor generates responses based on the information you share and on general knowledge. Output may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Verify anything important before acting on it, especially numerical examples and references to specific instruments, fees, or regulations.

The Wealthwise Kenya app, brand, content, and design are owned by us. You retain ownership of the content you submit (your goals, messages, etc.) and grant us the rights needed to operate the service for you.

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that present a security or abuse risk.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wealthwise Kenya is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any investment, tax, or financial decision you make based on information in the app.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Kenya.
